Electrician – 44% As an electrical company, our electricians regularly replace electric showers. There are a few key things to get right when doing so: ? Correct kW rating for the circuit ? Proper circuit protection (MCB/RCBO) ? RCD protection compliance ? Safe, tight electrical connections ? Final testing and certification ? Plumber – 17% We suspect a few of our electricians voted here—it’s not their favourite job! We can usually tell a plumber or handyman has installed the shower when we see missing earth sleeving and loose connections. ?? Not ideal when electricity is involved! ? Either – 0% No votes here! Probably for the best. Not just anyone should be handling live electrical work. ? Both – 39% Technically correct! A plumber handles the water, and an electrician handles the power. But let’s face it—it’s rarely cost-effective to have two trades attend for one shower swap. Here's the thing: You won’t think about needing your shower replaced until it suddenly stops working.
