Their Murtle Garden Project is developing a sensory-rich market garden where pupils grow fruit, vegetables and flowers, gaining confidence, connection and valuable life skills along the way. ???? With support from the GreenSkies Community Fund, the school is installing a third polytunnel to expand growing space and learning opportunities. Loganair Appoints New Head of Government & Corporate Affairs ? Loganair is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon McNamara as Head of Government & Corporate Affairs, effective 1st September 2025. This newly created role consolidates responsibilities across government relations, corporate communications, and regional & industry engagement into a single senior leadership position. Simon brings over 25 years of experience in both regional aviation and public affairs, having worked across industry and trade bodies. He currently serves as Director of Government and Industry Affairs at Heart Aerospace, where he leads engagement with the EU institutions, US and UK Governments to promote electric flight. Prior to joining Heart Aerospace, Simon led the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) activities in the United Kingdom and Ireland, advocating IATA’s positions across a broad spectrum of policy areas including sustainability, consumer affairs, air traffic management, aviation taxation, and market competition. He has also held roles as Director of Communications at Flybe and Director General of the European Regions Airline Association, a trade body representing over 50 regional airlines in Europe. Simon will be responsible for strengthening Loganair’s senior management relationships with the Scottish and UK Governments, industry stakeholders, and regional & Island communities. His responsibilities include shaping policy, promoting the airline’s values externally, and advancing its environmental and commercial objectives. Additionally, he will have a remit to support the CEO and senior leadership team in identifying and developing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. Luke Farajallah, CEO of Loganair, commented: “As the UK’s largest regional airline, Loganair is woven into the fabric of Scotland and the wider UK, providing essential lifeline services and regional connectivity. It’s vital that we maintain strong, continuous relationships with the Scottish and Westminster Governments, local bodies, regional communities, and industry stakeholders. Simon has had an exemplary career doing just that for multiple organisations and brings with him an impressive network of business contacts in the regional aviation sector. I’m delighted we’ve been able to attract someone of his calibre to Loganair. His appointment reflects the continued growth and broadening of experience within our leadership team and underscores the importance of strategic relationships to Loganair’s future.” #Loganair #NewAppointment #LoganairNews
